Musical Spiral in Black and White is the right panel of the Spiral Quintet, a five-panel study of how light and shadow combine to create intricate shadows and patterns on the bike rack behind the Integrated Science Complex on the UMass Boston campus. The Spiral Quintet was featured in the in-store gallery of J. P. Licks in Newton Center in the winter of 2021, and is, itself, part of a larger collections of this very interesting bike rack.
