Although I have lived in the US for almost 40 years, I was born, grew up, and spent my early adult years in Canada. My daughter was born and grew up in the US. Here I used an abstracted maple leaf, the national tree of Canada, to symbolize my legacy to her: a love of Canada and Canadians. Indeed, she is currently spending her early adult years studying in Canada.
