The Stump Suffocator is hollow and without a bottom, designed to be placed over a slender stump, depriving it of light and (theoretically) making it easier to remove. This has not actually been attempted but it sounds like a good idea. Even if it doesn't work, it will stand as a deccorative yard gnome.
