I have always found the natural world full of intrigue and inspiration. I connect deeply with my surroundings while hiking and sea kayaking. I am disturbed by aspects of modern society that show disregard for our planet. My work explores the impermanence of life, and also the destruction that humanity inflicts on both our earth and wildlife. I work through my emotions around environmental issues and the decline of species through the making of clay objects and sculpture.
