This vessel was wheel thrown with a decorative slip applied post trimming. The crackle white glaze was dusted with copper carbonate and chrome oxide before being fired. The form, surface texture, and glaze highlight the interaction of the clay, minerals, fire, and smoke that occurs during the western raku process.
