I was on the beach at Reid State Park, Georgetown, Maine after a Summer rain, when this schooner rigged ship appeared out of the mist. Shortly after it was published in Color and Black & White under the title of Schooner in the Mist, a gentleman called me to tell me that the name of the vessel was the Pride of Baltimore, a reproduction of a War of 1812 privateer that a relative had built. I used a Nikon D200 with a 24-120 lens, handheld. It was processed in Adobe Lightroom. I applied sharpening software only to the waves in the foreground and printed on Epson fine art velvet paper and also on watercolor finish paper. I like both versions.
