Meets Aug 14, In-Studio

Polymer clay is simply clay that is plastic, it comes in various colors, is easily manipulated; light weight and durable when fired at the correct temperature. In this one-day workshop you will learn two different methods of construction to create these one-of-a-kind pieces.   First technique will focus on using everyday objects to create a domed hollow form. We will be using the slab method of construction for the second.

Class will start by discussing design options, ideas and findings. Move into template design and making veneers. The afternoon session will be devoted to construction and finishing techniques. Students should go home with at least three finished pieces. (Instructor will provide sketchbook sand everyday objects for students to use during the class.)
