Art of Life, Art for Life

Calling all artists to submit works to Art of Life, Art for Life  a special exhibit honoring LexArt member and life-long Lexingtonian Wilda Ward on the occasion of her 100th birthday. This show celebrates the enduring relationship between art and life, drawing inspiration from themes that embody Wilda’s passionate engagement with creativity and community. Artists are invited to submit work that responds to one or more of the following themes:

• The creation of art as a means to remain youthful, vibrant, and actively engaged with the world and those around us.

• The sharing of art as a communal experience, fostering connection and understanding among individuals and groups.

• Integrating art and craft into daily living as a source of enrichment and inspiration.

Submission Deadline is April 20, 2026  by 11:45 pm (Accepting  submission payments will end at 11:30 pm and application form will close at 11:45 pm)

Entry Fees: $30 for up to 3 entries per person. LexArt Members receive FREE submission fee for this show (discount applies to paid memberships only), and any artist 80 years and older can submit for free (select the free ticket option at the bottom of the page)

Submission Limit: 3 works. A work consisting of multiple items (e.g.,a triptych) will be considered a single work only if priced to be sold as a single set.

Purchase of this ticket will grant you access to the submission form for the Art of Life, Art for Life exhibit. You must pay before receiving a confirmation with a link to the form.

Accepted Artwork: Artists will be notified of accepted works on or about May 4, 2026
