REGISTRATION INFORMATION & POLICIES
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If you’re unhappy with any art works purchased from www.LexArt.org, you can return it within 14 days of the delivery date for a refund. To obtain your refund:
1. Please email to notify us of the return.
2. Return in its undamaged, as-shipped condition, within 14 days of the date of delivery. Address to:

3. Upon our receipt of the returned work(s) we will issue a full refund of your purchase price and original shipping fee, less a 5% handling charge. We will send you an email when we process the refund. Please allow 7-14 days thereafter for the credit to appear on your credit card account statement.
4. We cannot provide a refund if the returned image is damaged in any way when we receive it, nor can we refund the cost of return shipping.
Note. Classes, workshops, and other events excluded. Refunds for those are covered separately.
If you selected “Pick Up”, we will contact you by email to arrange a mutually convenient pick-up time at LexArt, 130 Waltham St., Lexington, MA. Items not picked up within 30 days may be subject to storage charges.
FREE LOCAL DELIVERY
Free local delivery may be offered on certain items. The delivery includes the following cities and towns in Massachusetts: Acton, Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Carlisle, Concord, Medford, Newton, North Reading, Reading, Somerville, Stoneham, Waltham, Watertown, Weston, Wilmington, Winchester, Woburn
When shipping is offered, we will ship domestically within the United States. Please contact us for international shipping.
Most orders will ship within four days, though there may currently be delays due to COVID-19 related business disruptions. If for any reason your shipment will be delayed, we will notify you via email.
CANCELLATIONS. The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society reserves the right to cancel any under-enrolled course, to restrict registration, to change instructors if necessary or make schedule changes. Every effort will be made to notify registered students. Classes cancelled due to low enrollment will be refunded.
Online Classes. Full tuition will be refunded only if LexArt is notified at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.
In-person classes in Lexington. Full tuition will be refunded only if LexArt is notified at least one week prior to the start of the class.
If a student cancels within the notification period (24 hours online; one week in-person), then 75% of the tuition will be refunded. Cancellations for medical or emergency reasons are handled on a case-by-case basis. An administrative fee may be assessed if change requests are made.
MEMBER DISCOUNTS. Members of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society may be eligible for discounts (typically 15%) on classes using a Member Discount Code. Use of such Member Discount Codes is limited to current members. Anyone applying a Member Discount Code to a purchase who is not eligible to use the code will be offered the opportunity to purchase a membership to the Society or to pay the full price for the class.
VIDEOCONFERENCE INSTRUCTIONS. LexArt generally uses Zoom for videoconferences but may use other video platforms as technology evolves. We will email you with login instructions 24 hours before the first session. Enrollees should be sure to download any necessary software well in advance. For best results, we recommend use of a laptop or desktop computer rather than mobile phone or tablet.
ACCESS TO RECORDINGS OF CLASSES AND VIDEOS. Unless otherwise noted in the course description, recordings will not be made of online classes. If the instructor provides after-class access to instructional videos, the terms of such access are described in the course description.
CLASS CONFIRMATION. Confirmation of your class/workshop is made via email only. Students will be notified only if classes are full or cancelled prior to the first class. Plan to attend your class at the first meeting unless otherwise notified.
MATERIALS LISTS AND FEES. Please consult the course description for each class to see what materials and equipment are required or suggested. Materials lists are sent via email to enrolled students upon request if not posted on the website. If you do not have an email address please call 781-862-9696. Some materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the first class.
INCLEMENT WEATHER. In the event of inclement weather, check Lexington Public School Closings. If Lexington Public Schools are closed, LexArt will be closed. Classes postponed due to weather or other factors beyond Lexington Arts and Crafts Society’s control will be rescheduled if possible. Make-up classes will be held at the end of the term unless otherwise notified.
ACCESS/MEDICAL CONDITIONS. Lexington Arts and Crafts Society welcomes participants of all abilities. We are wheelchair accessible and offer handicapped parking close to our Education Entrance. If you or your child has any special needs or medical conditions that we need to be aware of, please notify us in advance, so we can best accommodate you.
PHOTOGRAPHY. Lexington Arts and Crafts Society photographs its classes for promotional purposes. Occasionally, local media will also document special workshops and events. Registration implies your compliance with the use of your image in our publicity materials. If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed, please notify us in writing.
DISCOUNTS. Members of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society receive discounts on classes and workshops. If you are not yet a member and wish to join, please visit our https://www.lexart.org/join-the-society or call the office at 781-862-9696 Monday- Friday, 9am-4pm.
LATE REGISTRATION FEE FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES. Registrations for in-person classes must be received at least one week prior to the start of class or a late fee of $15 will be assessed. There is no late registration fee for online classes.
STUDENT CONDUCT. Members of the LexArt community, including Junior Members, are expected to exhibit considerate and appropriate behavior. Examples of prohibited behaviors are: disruption of learning; threats to the safety of self or others; foul or obscene gestures or language; disrespect to others; destruction of property or theft. Student status is a privilege subject to certain expectations. LexArt reserves the right to suspend or dismiss students at any time for conduct that LexArt deems to be detrimental to the LexArt community or that violates the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of the United States.
