COVID SAFETY. Click here for our Covid-19 policies.

MEMBER DISCOUNTS.  Members of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society who are logged into our Website will receive a discount when they register for a class. We are open to the public and encourage everyone to consider becoming a member. If you are not yet a member and wish to join, please visit our Website (https://www.lexart.org/join-the-society ) or call our office at 781-862-9696, Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm.

ONLINE CLASSES.  LexArt generally uses Zoom for class videoconferences, although we may use other video platforms as technology evolves.   We will email you with login instructions 24 hours before the first session.  Enrollees should be sure to download any necessary software as soon thereafter as possible.  For best results, we recommend use of a laptop or desktop computer rather than a mobile phone or tablet.

ACCESS TO RECORDINGS OF CLASSES AND VIDEOS.  Unless otherwise noted in the course description, our instructors do not record online classes.  If the instructor provides after-class access to instructional videos, the terms of such access are contained in the course description.

CLASS CONFIRMATION.  You will receive an email confirming your registration and reviewing class details (dates, times and instructors’ information) within a week of registering, and a second reminder email a week before the class begins.

MATERIALS LISTS AND FEES.  Please consult the course description for each class to see a complete list of materials and equipment that is required or suggested. In some instances, you will be expected to pay material fees to your instructor at the first class.  Material lists are sent via email to enrolled students upon request, in the event they are not posted on the website. If you do not have, or do not regularly use an email address, it is your responsibility to let us know by calling 781-862-9696.

INCLEMENT WEATHER.  In the event of inclement weather, please check Lexington Public School Closings. If Lexington Public Schools are closed due to weather, LexArt will be closed as well. Classes postponed due to weather or other factors beyond the control of Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, will be rescheduled if possible. Make-up classes will be held at the end of the term unless otherwise notified.

ACCESS/MEDICAL CONDITIONS.  Lexington Arts and Crafts Society welcomes participants of all abilities. We are wheelchair accessible and offer handicapped parking close to our Education Entrance. If you or your child has any special needs or medical conditions that we need to be aware of, please notify us in advance, so we can best accommodate you.

PHOTOGRAPHY.  Lexington Arts and Crafts Society photographs its classes for promotional purposes. Occasionally, local media will also document special workshops and events. Registration implies your compliance with the use of your image in our publicity materials. If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed, please notify us in writing.

LATE REGISTRATION FEE FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES.   Registrations for in-person classes must be received at least one week prior to the start of class or a late fee of $15 will be assessed.   There is no late registration fee for online classes.

STUDENT CONDUCT. Members of the LexArt community, including Junior Members, are expected to exhibit considerate and appropriate behavior. Examples of prohibited behaviors are: disruption of learning; threats to the safety of self or others, including failure to wear a mask at all times; foul or obscene gestures or language; disrespect to others; destruction of property or theft. Student status is a privilege subject to certain expectations. LexArt reserves the right to suspend or dismiss students at any time for conduct that LexArt deems to be detrimental to the LexArt community or that violates the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of the United States.
