LexArt is a community of artists and makers. Please come and join us. We foster curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, as we practice and pass-on traditional methods of craft. We operate shared, cooperative studio spaces that are available to everyone on a quarterly or annual basis.

One need not be a member to register for studio use, but members sustain LexArt financially and enjoy exhibition and sales benefits.  We also offer instruction in a wide variety of mediums from introductory level to master classes and a year-round schedule of exhibits and sales events.  To explore the full menu of options for engaging with LexArt, visit Offerings.

We have four equipped shops dedicated to Ceramics, Woodworking, Weaving & Fiber Arts, and Metalworking/Polymer Clay & Beading, plus an equipped Painting studio and a multi-purpose studio.  Shops and studios function as maker’s spaces, classrooms, and meeting rooms. To understand how our studios operate, please visit Studio Operations.

If you are a beginner, please contact us via email or phone (781) 862-9696  before registering for one of the equipped shops.  You will first need to enroll in one or more classes to learn set-up and safe operation of the equipment.

There are also three other studio groups, Decorative Arts, Needle Arts, and Photography, that do not have dedicated workspace, but meet regularly and have access to LexArt classrooms. Read more about our studio groups.

The fees vary across the different studios based on equipment and space.  Please contact us if you are interested in signing up for multiple studios.
