Between Here & There Submission Fee

Between Here and There CALLING ARTISTS OF ALL AGES! “Between Here and There” is a multimedia exhibit presented by art centers in two neighboring towns: the Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) and Lexington Arts and Crafts Society (LexArt). This unique exhibit brings our artistic communities together with work from both youth (ages 5–15) and adults (16+).

We want YOUR experience of the place you live through artwork that interprets the five senses - sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. What does your community feel like to you?

Is it the sight of colorful fall leaves at your favorite park? The smell of woodsmoke on a winter night? Enjoying the taste of your favorite "town treat" on a summer day? The sound of spring birds in your neighborhood? We are looking for works that capture the essence of how we experience the world: the rhythm of a sound, the brilliance of a sight, or the nostalgia of a scent or taste.

Artwork in this joint show will be displayed at either LexArt’s Molly Nye Gallery or ACA’s Shaira Ali Gallery. Together, artists will show what makes our neighboring towns exciting and engaging places to build community.

Submission Deadline is December 3, 2026 by 11:45 pm (Accepting  submission registration will end at 11:30 pm, the application form will close at 5:00 pm)

Submission Limit. 3 entries max. by digital submission, with 2 detail shots permitted per entry. A set is considered one entry.

Size Limits, Display

●There is a six-foot limit on the horizontal dimension of wall piece. Work exceeding 35 lbs. must be installed by the artist or by special arrangements with the gallery.

●All 2D work must be securely wired and properly ready to hang.

Entry fee: LexArt Members: $15 per submission 

                      Non-Members: $30 per submission (Join LexArt and receive a discount click here)

Paying the Submission Fee will grant you access to the submission form for the Between Here and There exhibit. You must pay before receiving a confirmation with a link to the submission form.

After you have registered you will receive an email with a link to the artwork submission application.  The Between Here and There  Submission Guidelines contains detailed information about completing the application.  Best practice is use a Laptop or Computer for submitting your application.

Accepted Artwork: Artists will be notified of accepted works on or about December 11, 2026
