Gallery Hours: Tue-Sun: 11 - 5 (During Shows)

Iron Man is a ceramic marionette inspired by the medium of clay itself. As I worked the clay with my fingers, the spirit of this character seemed to flow without conscious decision making on my part. I allowed my tactile response to direct my process without judgement or pre-conception. The resulting character expressed a primordial consciousness of the earth from which it was derived. The title evolved from the iron oxide stain which I rubbed into the texture of the bisqued form.
