Constructed from long tubes of hollow square and hexagon-shaped extruded clay, my sculptures are assembled using hundreds of small slices of clay from each tube. Every slice is painstakingly cut and angled to create one small link at a time. Contrasting decorative surface materials include black and white glaze, blocked by areas of raw natural clay. Considered opposites, these materials play on the tension created by its linear features.
