Trained in classical art at the Vesper George School of Art , teacher and artist , Robert Butler has been a mentor to students of all ages at New England schools and colleges for four decades and has lectured throughout the USA. His life long passion for wildlife subjects and the natural world, has taken him around the globe including Africa, China and the tropics. He is a lifelong Lexington resident and keeps a studio on CapeAnnA multi time award winner in competitions nationwide, his artwork rendered in traditional acrylics and also with airbrush technique , has been shown at American museums and educational institutions such as The Smithsonian National Museum, The Anderson County Historical Museum and The Museum of Our National Heritage . He is also represented on science based television including the Learning and Discovery Channels . His work is held in private collections worldwide.
