This painting is like my �Guernica�. It was inspired by my horror at watching the Deepwater Horizon offshore oil platform explosion with its loss of life and the several months� (if not ongoing) spilling of millions of barrels of oil into the Gulf of Mexico and the environmental devastation that resulted. It is a watercolor, with poured and painted flowing main elements standing in for the spilled oil.
