This is a course for children that teaches design thinking through collage, and provides an opportunity for young artists to showcase and celebrate each other's accomplishments.
Multimedia collaging invites your inner creative to flourish by allowing them to establish their unique creative identity. In this workshop, we will be using all forms of artistic techniques and mediums to create a one of a kind work of art. Students will also build critiquing skills to promote their work and to support their peers as well.
After class the instructor will apply a protective layer of resin to each piece of artwork. Parents can pick up their child's art the following week.
-This is class open for children ages 5 and up and is a mixed aged course. Parents of younger children are welcome to stay and assist their child, but it is not required.
-All materials are included in the class price.
-Financial aid scholarships are available upon inquiry.
About the instructor:
Tamine Son is originally from from the Eastern Caribbean and moved to Cambridge as a teen. Her passion is photography and all things visually creative. She has spent almost a decade working with youth in an after school setting, where her focus was on using creative methods to promote social emotional learning. Tamine welcomes the opportunity to continue to create a space for all to establish their creative identities.
