Class Meets February 18,  In Studio

Course Level: Beginner

Class: $85 (Log in for membership discount prices) 

Materials fee: $40 

Description: In this beginner level class, you will create a set of beautiful textured bangle bracelets, one in sterling silver, one in bronze, and three in copper. Students will learn to develop their fabrication skills, including; measurement, texturing, filing, forming, soldering, and tumbler finishing. 

All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver, bronze, and copper (in different shaped wires), saw blades, solder, and sand paper. A $40 materials fee will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Note: A $40 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class.

Prerequisites: None

About the instructor: Laurie Savage received a BFA in metalsmithing from MassArt in 1998. She has taught the jewelry program at Cambridge Center for Adult Education since 1999, and metalsmithing workshops at Haystack, the DeCordova Museum School, Motherbrook Arts Community, Arlington Community Education and LEXArt. She maintains a studio in the Distillery Building in South Boston, and her work is available by commission only.
