About the Class or Event

One Sunday, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM

Meets February 20,  In Studio

Class: $85 (Includes a $5 Studio Fee)

Materials fee: $40

Description: Beginner students can learn to make a set of textured bangle bracelets, one in sterling silver, one in bronze, and three in copper. Students will learn to develop their fabrication skills, including; measurement, texturing, filing, forming, soldering, and tumbler finishing. 

All materials will be provided, including; sterling silver, bronze, and copper (in different shaped wires), saw blades, solder, and sand paper. 

Course level: Beginner

Materials: A $40 materials fee will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

About the instructor: Laurie Savage received a BFA in metalsmithing from MassArt in 1998. She has taught the jewelry program at Cambridge Center for Adult Education since 1999, and metalsmithing workshops at Haystack, the DeCordova Museum School, Motherbrook Arts Community, Arlington Community Education and LEXArt. She maintains a studio in the Distillery Building in South Boston, and her work is available by commission only.
