Bezel Set Pendant Workshop with Kylie Weinzierl

Description: This introduction to stone setting will allow students to learn one of the most common stone setting techniques- bezel setting. We will review several introductory techniques to create personalized bezel set pendants, including soldering, forming, embellishment options, and measuring stones. All materials, including silver and a selection of cabochon stones, and are included in the cost of this workshop.

About the instructor: Kylie Weinzierl is a Boston area interdisciplinary artist, with a primary focus in metalsmithing, a background in sound art, multimedia installation and fabrication, as well as glass work, textile, and performance. Kylie received a Bachelor of the Arts from Arizona State University in 2019, and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in February 2024. Kylie is the head Jewelry Instructor at Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School in Jamaica Plain, the Metals Studio Manager at LexArt, and is currently enrolled in the Jewelry Making & Repair program at North Bennet Street School in Boston.
