Description: 

This beginners class will explore the skills, techniques, and concepts of spontaneous-style Chinese brush painting through beautiful and classic subject of florals. We will experience the rhythm of single strokes to capture the essence of the subject matter. This can be both meditative and expressive  at the same time rhythm.

About the instructor: 

Vartus Varadian enjoys a long professional career as a graphic designer and art director, working for numerous advertising agencies, design studios, and corporations throughout the Boston area. Her transition into painting began with classes at The Wellness Community of Greater Boston.

It was there that she discovered a passion for spontaneous Chinese painting, an art form where a few deliberate strokes capture the true essence of a subject. Through study with various Asian masters, Vartus has become proficient in this style, finding deep joy in the process itself. This journey eventually inspired her to teach fellow cancer survivors, helping them find their own sense of inspiration and calmness through the meditative power of painting.
