December Ceramics Independent Workshop with Chin Lin

Description: 

This is a four week session for students who had taken previous LexArt Ceramics Class who wish to continue to develop their skills and work.  There will be four Sunday sessions where instructor will work with you on your project.  The class also include open studio time on Wednesday between 5 to 8.  This would allow for access to studio every three days over four weeks.  The last class will be on Sunday January 2, 2022. Students are encouraged to define the project(s) for the four week by the first class.  All level of students are welcome.  Projects could include skills on the wheel, handbuilding, decorating

Materials fee:

A $35 materials fee which will cover all clay, glaze, and firing cost for the four weeks will be collected at first class by check or cash.

About the instructor: 

Chin started pottery in the early 1980's.  In addition to teaching at LexArt, he has taught pottery classes at MIT Student Arts Association, Ceramics Studio at UC Berkeley as well as Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College over the last thirty years.  Chin is a registered architect by training but his art work has been accepted in the American Craft Council's flagship show at Baltimore for both wholesale and retail shows. In the Ceramics Guild, he is known for making large forms.
