Description:

In this class, students will learn to paint a simple still life subject, beginning with a small pencil drawing to establish composition and values.  Students are encouraged, but not required, to draw the subject on the watercolor paper before applying paint. The class will discuss color properties which require attention, including hue, value, intensity and color temperature.  The instructor will answer questions and offer helpful advice.

Materials: Students should purchase the materials prior to the class here.

About the instructor: 

Priscilla Levesque has a BFA from UMass Amherst. She has taken classes and workshops with artists including Claude Croney, Sig Purwin, Beverley Edwards, Rosalie Nadeau and Selina Trieff.  She paints in her studio at Western Ave. in Lowell.
