Granulation Workshop with Theresa Carmichael

Two Day Workshop: Saturday and Sunday 10:00AM- 5:00PM

Tuition: $248 (Sign in for membership discounts) 

Materials fee: $40 (Additonal silver will be available at cost) 

Description: Learn the ancient technique of granulation, where tiny balls of fine silver are fused onto a fine silver base.  Receive direct instruction and practice the skill. You will come away from this workshop with a pair of earrings, a pendant, or a ring top that you designed and crafted. 

Materials: A $40 materials fee will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class to cover the costs of kits. The kits include 26 grams of fine silver and silver wire. If you want additional silver for your work, you can buy more silver directly from the instructor during the class. 

About the instructor: Theresa Carmichael is a painting conservator who has been practicing the art of silversmithing since 1974. She teaches Adult Ed jewelry classes at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School and LexArt.
