Over the course of the five weeks, you’ll learn to safely and confidently use a combination of machine and hand tools. From precise cuts to clean joinery, you’ll explore essential techniques that form the backbone of fine woodworking.

By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a finished box—along with the skills and confidence to begin your own woodworking journey.

Phil Evans is a British-born woodworker and designer based in Boston, and the founder of Namu Craft Studio. His work blends precision craftsmanship with an eye for natural beauty, often exploring fine joinery, decorative inlay, and contemporary box and furniture design.
