Class meets October 4, In Studio

Tuition: $20 (Log in for membership discount prices)


Description: The process of mindful drawing and painting is contemplative, nurturing, and restorative. Explore the mandala form in both charcoal and watercolor pencils. With a focus on process and not product, see what happens with the flow of form and pattern! All levels are welcome.


Note:

This class is specifically designed to accommodate and welcome people with a range of neurodiversities including ASD, ADHD, and other types of thinking across the spectrum. The Molesky Series is also designed to accommodate and welcome individuals with physical disabilities, and individuals seeking a small, judgment-free learning environment.

-A materials list for this class can be found here. Students may also borrow materials from LexArt during the workshop instead of bringing their own materials.

About the instructor:

Corry Buckwalter is a visual artist, educator and landscape designer based in Arlington, MA. Her artwork explores ecology, land use and botanical subjects. Corry teaches botanical art, Japanese ink painting, mindful drawing and watercolor landscape painting at multiple art and community centers located in Arlington, Lexington, and Newton, MA, as well as, online. In her classes, Corry nurtures creativity through inclusive and supportive instruction. Her belief that art-making is a catalyst for personal growth and community-building has grown from her extensive experience teaching adult learners of all abilities.
