Description:

This workshop teaches the art of the golden mean in still life, and how to make a great painting that holds interest. Learning how to evaluate your paintings with a critical eye will be also be a part of these class. There will be a short 30 minute lunch break, so bring a lunch.


Materials: Students should purchase the materials prior to the workshop. Please bring:


-Linen canvas (24 by 36 recommended) 

-Oil paints of your choosing

-Small detail brushes (zeros, twos, and threes recommended, around 1/4 an inch)

-A one inch and two quarter inch brushes

-Baby oil or mineral oil

-Paper towel or a rag

-Jar

-Hand cream

-Pencil (optional)


About the instructor

Judy Conrad is a photographer and painter. She, along with her sister, ran a commercial photography business. Judy now teaches art full time, primarily oil painting, and photography.
