Weaving with Twill Blocks

Description: If you like playing with color and twills, twill blocks are the perfect next step!  We will cover some basics about reading drafts, then look at how a variety of twill blocks are created on an eight-shaft loom.  We'll experiment with some threadings on table looms, round robin style, and leave with drafts, ideas, and possibly some samples!

Prerequisite:

-Students need to have taken a beginning weaving class on a multi-shaft loom.  Some experience reading drafts will be helpful.

Note: 

-A materials fee of $5 is payable directly to the instructor.

About the instructor: 

Krysten Morganti loves weaving and spinning with every color there is and especially enjoys the challenge of working with reclaimed materials.

She works with vintage and antique looms and spinning wheels that she restores to working condition in her barn in Concord, Massachusetts.

Krysten is a compulsive teacher and lifelong learner, and may be responsible for getting hundreds of folks hooked on weaving and spinning.
