Wood Carving with Jane Layton (existing students)

Note: This class is for students who were in the January 2022 class. 

Description: 

Have you now realized that you need a hobby? Come join us for wood carving where you'll create a small songbird. Carving, texturing, and painting are all skills that you will learn resulting in a beautiful little bird. Safe use of hand tools will be emphasized. 

Prerequisites:

Students must have already taken the "Wood Carving With Jane Layton" class.

Materials: 

A $5 material kit containing a cut out of the bird, eyes, and a diagram will be provided.

About the instructor: 

Jane Layton loves creating art from wood.  Her areas of focus are mainly bird carving and bowl turning. She often perches a bird on the rim of a bowl so she can enjoy both disciplines. Jane has won many awards for her bird carvings. Her birds are in public and private collections worldwide.
