Bezel Set Pendant Workshop with Kylie Weinzierl

Description: This introduction to stone setting will allow students to learn one of the most common stone setting techniques- bezel setting. We will review several introductory techniques to create personalized bezel set pendants, including soldering, forming, embellishment options, and measuring stones, . Materials, including a selection of cabochon stones and a pendant cord, are included in the cost of this workshop.

All materials will be provided, including: sterling silver, 16mm cabochon stones, fine silver bezel wire, solder, and more.

About the instructor: Kylie Weinzierl is a Boston area interdisciplinary artist, with a primary focus in metalsmithing, a background in sound art, multimedia installation and fabrication, as well as glass work, textile, and performance. Kylie received a Bachelor of the Arts from Arizona State University in 2019, and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in February 2024. Kylie is the Assistant Director of the TILL Wave Art Gallery in Watertown, the head Jewelry Instructor at Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School in Jamaica Plain, and is also theMetals Studio Manager at LexArt.
