Description: There is nothing like new pens and pencils and a blank notebook just begging to be filled with sketches, ideas, or journal entries. Inexpensive black-and-white composition notebooks fulfill this dream, but are generic and uninspiring. With a little fabric and a little sewing, we will customize these old school composition notebooks with a reusable decorative cover that will inspire creative thoughts.
Note: A materials fee of $7 should be paid directly to the instructor at the start of class.
About the instructor:
Cheryl Moreau teaches sewing and textile arts at HATCH, Watertown’s Maker’s Space, sponsored by the Watertown Free Library; see the website http://www.watertownlib.org/hatch. Special interests include textile history, knitting, fabric printing, and designing with everyday objects and scrap materials.
