Polymer clay is simply clay that is plastic, it comes in various colors and is easily manipulated. Light weight and durable when fired at the correct temperature. During this two-day workshop you will create a 5x7 vessel, box or container using the slab method of construction. Day one will be devoted to design, making veneers and the front and back panels. Day two is construction and finishing techniques. If time allows, a group critique will be conducted. Some experience with Polymer is helpful. A list of supplies needed will be sent 2 weeks ahead of time.

Instructor Bio: Helen is a widely recognized as one of the worlds leading polymer clay artists. She designs sculptural jewelry and is best known for her organic hollow formed boxes and vessels. Nature has always invited her to explore the patterns, textures and colors it provides for inspiration. She taught Fine Arts for 34 years and has been working primarily in polymer since 2007. She currently exhibits her work at venues like Paradise City and Lyndhurst. She is currently teaching workshops on the national level. Her work is recognized, published and awarded nationally and internationally.
