Description:

In this intro course, students will learn the basics of chain making, including how to make flush jump rings, bending and shaping chain links, and connecting the links to make a basic cable chain bracelet out of copper or brass wire. All materials will be included. 


This class is specifically designed to accommodate and welcome people with a range of neurodiversities including ASD, ADHD, and other types of thinking across the spectrum. The Molesky Series is also designed to accommodate and welcome individuals with physical disabilities, and individuals seeking a small, judgment-free learning environment.


Note:


-Please wear closed-toe shoes.

About the instructor: Kylie Weinzierl is a Boston area interdisciplinary artist, with a primary focus in metalsmithing, a background in sound art, multimedia installation and fabrication, as well as glass work, textile, and performance. Kylie received a Bachelor of the Arts from Arizona State University in 2019, and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in February 2024. Kylie is the head Jewelry Instructor at Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School in Jamaica Plain, and is the Metals Studio Manager at LexArt, and is currently enrolled in the Jewelry Making & Repair program at North Bennet Street School in Boston.
