Description: Whether you are interested in becoming a licensed aerial photographer someday, or just want to learn about drone photography, this class is the perfect introduction. In this 4-hour class, participants will appreciate the difference between the traditional horizontal view photo versus viewing the world from above using a drone. They will learn the basics of aerial photography using a drone.  There will be a live drone flight demo, weather permitting. Completion of the class prepares the participant to pass The Recreational USAs Safety Test (TRUST).  A topical handout will be provided. 

Prerequisite: This program is designed for people who are familiar with taking pictures using an iPhone and professional photographers who use an SLR camera.

About the instructor: Joe is a professional photographer and certified FAA 107 drone pilot.  His clients include

architects, construction companies, colleges, churches, and realtors, who value the unique aerial perspective of drone images. He teaches FAA drone certification courses at Roger Williams University, RI and Lasell University, Newton, MA. He flies an Autel EVO II 640T infrared, a DJI Phantom 4V2.0 and a DJI Mavic Pro drone when on aerial photography assignment. 

Joe is also a skilled commercial photographer having been involved in all aspects of photography for

35 years. When photographing architecture, events and portraits, he works with a full frame, high-resolution (25 megapixels) digital camera. He recently published, From the Treetops, a photobook and aerial perspective of historic buildings in Stoneham, MA.
