    he premier ceramics exhibit in the state of Mass!     The State of Clay is a juried show open to original, innovative ceramic work by current and former residents of Massachusetts or those with close ties to Massachusetts. The aim of the show is to broaden public awareness of contemporary ceramic art and to provide a venue for Massachusetts’ clay artists.     August 30 - September 27 The New England Regional Juried Exhibition is a juried show featuring the best of representational painting, drawing, and sculpture by regional artists who work in the realist tradition. The exhibition will be on view in the historic President's Gallery at the Guild's Newbury Street location, which features a skylight to allow viewing of artworks in natural light. Selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit where the great artists of the Boston School showed their work.   • Contradictions of Freedom: March 29 to April 27, 2025

    Sisters in Stitches Joined by the Cloth are a guild of textile artists, dedicated to preserving the art, history and culture of African American quilt-making. Contradictions of Freedom is an exhibition of their work, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. Sisters in Stitches Joined by the Cloth celebrate culture, color, design, and tradition which was formally established in 1997. The Guild meets every third Saturday of each month to sew, share ideas and techniques, and celebrate our love of quilting. Our first meeting took place at the Old Town Hall in Randolph, Massachusetts before moving to the Quilters Compass in Quincy and then at the First Congregational Church in Randolph.   • Eiko Tabata Art Reception: Weston Library

    My name is Eiko Fazio and I'm a LexArt member (year 2).  I'm a painter and I've painted several subjects using both acrylic and oil.  I'm going to have an exhibition at Weston Public Library in March. The main theme is 'Nature'.  Subjects include landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife.  Some of the reference images are from my home country, Hokkaido Japan.  I'm also going to host a reception from 2-4pm at the library on March 9th.  I will talk about my hometown, what materials/techniques I use to paint, etc.  It will be interactive and I hope I will see as many of you as I can to get to know each other and perhaps, we can work collaboratively in the future.   For the detailed information, please see the attached flyer.
